How to solve
Integration undoes differentiation. For powers, raise the exponent by one and divide by the new exponent: ∫ xⁿ dx = xⁿ⁺¹/(n+1) (n ≠ −1). Constants factor out; these drills omit +C.
Steps
- Increase the exponent by 1 and divide by the new exponent.
- Carry any constant coefficient through the integral.
- Omit +C as instructed by the drill.
Example
Find ∫ 3x² dx (omit +C).
- ∫ 3x² dx = 3 · x³/3 = x³.
Answer: x^3
How to type answers
- Enter like (3/4)x^4 or 5x
