How to solve
A circle is all points a fixed distance (radius) from a center. On a graph, the center is a point and the radius is a segment from center to the circle.
Steps
- Find the labeled center C and read its coordinates from the axes.
- If asked for radius, measure from C to a point on the circle (often along a drawn radius).
Example
Center C is at (1, −2) and a radius segment has length 3.
- r = 3.
- Center x = 1, y = −2.
Answer: depends on the question (r, h, or k)
