How to solve
A rectangle’s area counts how many unit squares fit inside it. Multiplying length by width tiles the rectangle with those unit squares in rows and columns.
Steps
- Identify the length and the width.
- Multiply: Area = length × width.
Example
A rectangle is 7 units long and 3 units wide. Find its area.
- Area = 7 × 3 = 21.
Answer: 21
